Torrington Park Group Practice

The on-line repeat prescription ordering service and text confirmation of appointments is invaluable.
The professionalism and care quality of all team members at the surgery is excellent.
The telephone appointments system is good, but getting a routine appointment can prove challenging at times; understandable given the number of patients that the practice serves!
I and my family, young and old, have been using this surgery for years, and I think we have seen all the doctors over several years. ALL of them have been excellent. I have never been unable to get through on the telephone if an appointment is required on the same day. Just phone a few seconds before 8.30am and you will get through and be able to make an appointment. OR, call much later (or pop into the Reception) if you don't mind waiting for an appointment for a few days or weeks hence. I order my repeat prescriptions online and just go straight to the Pharmacy to pick them up. The place is clean and tidy. There are lots of other services available.
A year ago I would have given this surgery a five star rating across the board. I still rate the doctors highly (including the placements), the IT works and the front line staff are lovely; but efficiency has dropped dramatically. Telephone calls go unanswered, test results are not reported on, and appointment opportunities seem impossible to arrange. It feels like they have either taken on too many patients or changed/lost the office manager. Shame, I used to feel they were really special and caring, and told colleagues how good they were; they may still be good people, but not a good organisation.
Very hard to get an appointment. Almost impossible to get through on the phone. Doctor change over seems very high. Worst practice I've ever been with.
I recently visited this surgery and I thought most members of staff were lovely. As I was 5 minutes late and I had booked an appointment earlier that day the receptionist had told me that my doctor may not be able to see me and I was truly disappointed. It soon after turned out that I was able to see him and it was around a 5-10 minute wait! I had a new doctor and his name was Dr Nadgar, he was the most lovely doctor and really made me feel comfortable with what I went to see him about! He told me straight away what was wrong with me and I was in and out in total around 20 minutes, including the waiting! I would definitely recommend him as he made me feel really comfortable and not so frightened about what he was about to say and I felt like I could tell him everything and not be worried about it.
